Here's a few of the other things I've been working on this week.

Before and After
Pintrest has taken over. All my life I've had creative ideas in my head and didn't know how to get them into life. Pintrest has really helped with those ideas and tons of new ones. Here's a hutch I just finished. I bought the brown hutch from a lady for $35. $15 for new paint and the hardware was on clearance for less than $2. I love love the way it turned out. It's in my kitchen and will had my craft supplies.
I really like the white washed doors. I may have to touch them up a bit, but I like the beach house feel of it.

It's Finished!
I finished my first hat! It's going to fit baby M. I'm so excited to have finished something besides a scarf. My fingers hurt really on the sides. But I'm thrilled I finished. I had a friend so me how to start, I looked up how to finish on youtube! I never can figure out things like this on my own because of my left/right dyslexia. I'm really proud of myself! LOL!

Etsy, My Love
Fifteen yards each, a rainbow something or other is coming!
Delicious incense. I feel like such a rebel every time I light one. My dad was the son of firefighter and hated incense and candles. He probably still does, but it's my house. So Nah. ;)

To Control What I Can...
When I get stressed I like to control my surroundings. With so many things out of my control lately, I've felt the need to rearrange. Again. Thanks to Pintrest my wannabe creative side is very juicy! I didn't do a before, but for this little shelf at my stairs, it was empty. Here's the after:
The second part of my re-do was my 'office' My husband is vacating his office space (previously my prayer room) in June. I've been using the back of our kitchen, but my back has been acting up and I was told to no loner use the bar stool against the cabinets. So until June, I came up with this little corner of my living room. Again, no before, but it was an empty corner. The table was previously in the entryway, but I have another idea for that space.

Spiral....
Every week we think is the last week. Every week it's not. We've been sharing this sweet little soul for nearly six weeks. He's doing well, better than all of us. We're in a silly spiral. We're nearly there, but can't touch the center. Sometimes we're spinning close and sometimes farther away. I've come to the conclusion that we'll be taking him back and forth until he's eighteen.

The Beast Will Never Be Conquered.
I was out of mommy commission for two days. Johnny did all the laundry. However, this awaited me this morning. Lots and lots of clean laundry. Did I mention I was only out two day! And the baby isn't even here this week. Laundry, can't live with it and no one wants us to live without it.

Turns out 30 is old!
Apparently as my good friends Brandy and Jermaine say "I'm old" I threw my back out. Really. I just turned 30. Now in my backs defense I made it suffer through three pregnancies totally 130 pounds of weight gain. Then I had three large babies of my own and three large foster babies of my own. Poor back has been put through the ringer. However, that's it's job. To hold me upright and allow me to walk. I woke up on Friday morning and could barely get out of bed at two in the morning to get the baby. When I finally woke up, I couldn't walk. I nearly fell and caught myself on the bed. I could here M crying down the hall and couldn't get to him.
I called Johnny, he called my favorite Charity who came speeding over to help. I called my doctor and she wasn't in so I had to go to Urgent Care. Charity took such great care of me. Shane helped me get the baby ready before she came over. We loaded up all the kids and her husband watched them while we took the baby to his family and then she sat with me in Urgent Care until she had to go get her daughter. After a short wait (for Urgent Care anyway) I was diagnosed with a basic "you hurt your back" I "sprained" it. They gave me some nice muscle relaxers and 800mg Motrin!
After being banned from doing anything on Saturday night (the boys were at a hockey game) I'm feeling much better this today. It still aches, but I can move and dress myself. Thankfully, M is with his family until Wednesday so I can continue to heal.
So yeah, just six months after turning thirty, I'm laid up with a heating pad and lots of meds. Craziness.

I Am Second (book review) Doug Bender and Dave Sterrett
I Am Second is a book full of short stories. It's a eye opening book of people's life stories. The whole point of the book is that we, humans, are second to God. The stories are really testimonies. There are some very famous contributions. A former member of Korn, football players, surfers, musicians, and people from all walks of life. For each story there is a scan bar for a smart phone that will link you to similar stories. The book is an easy read, as each testimony is only 2-4 pages long. They are all very powerful stories. Many are stories of those who have hit bottom and their redemption through Jesus Christ. There are a few stories from those who thought they were living "good enough" and how they have changed their perspective. I would highly recommend this book for explorers, new believers, and those looking to deepen their relationship with our amazing God.
There is also a web site that goes with the book that allows you to see the interviews and watch many others that didn't make it into the book. It's a great resource.
*This book was given to me by Booksneeze.com to review. I was not compensated in any other way.

February!
Our February is filling up entirely too quickly. Cub Scouts takes over our books from now until June.
Happy Bill Day.
More Pintrest----Pizza Rolls and Bead Bowls.
So I made a few more things via pintrest. First was this colorful bowl made out of melting beads.
This is what I came up with:
The next thing was way tastier. This was insanely easy. All it is is crescent rolls, a few pepperonis, and a half stick of a mozzarella cheese stick. Roll together and cook. Serve with warm pizza sauce. My kids devoured them!

Pintrest Craft.
Oh, how I tried to avoid it. But, Pintrest has found me. I love it! There is so much I want to do. I have actually managed to do one of the crafts. I've made lots of dinner, but this craft is what I wanted to do.
I had a great blue frame. I used tiny coffee cup hooks to make mine. I love the way it turned out.
Sorry for the crummy shots. My camera isn't uploading like I'd like, so this is a webcam shot. It's a neat way to access my necklaces and keep them untangled!
