Well Monday morning had dawned. We struggled to get out of bed. We headed downstairs to eat yet another delicious breakfast. This morning it was Esme's Farmhouse Eggs. They had sausage, spinach, potatoes, and all kinds of goodness in them. I did eat a bit of these eggs, I couldn't resist. She even added a little muffin with a candle for Bella's birthday!

| Bill and Susan. I seriously thought Bill was a long lost relative of my mom's. |
We snapped a few more shots of this amazing place before it was time to go. I really wasn't ready. I needed one more day of the peace and quiet. And the kindness of these people.

| On the road out of town. |
So our PLAN was to drive to Port Angeles and do a bit of touring and head into Seattle and spend the day there. That was our plan. That was not what happened. As we were driving I noticed all the dangling moss that I hadn't seen in Forks. I asked Brandy if we saw a turn out to stop so I could get a shot. She obliged and we stopped. There were a few people there. A guy told us it was a bus stop and we should probably move the car. I snapped a few shots and then he said that there was a waterfall up the street. "just a five minute hike" so we looked at each other and decided to find the place. We found the place with no trouble and started the five minute hike. Hmm, yeah right.

| perfect moss. |
We found this little lodge and the most beautiful lake. It was the same lake we had stopped to take pictures of on the way into Forks.
The path was really nice, flat and smooth. We had to cross under the highway through a tunnel, which was really neat.
We then started our "five minute hike". It took an hour and a half. Now to be fair to the kind man on the side of the road, we were stopping every minute to take pictures.

I loved these woods. Finally we hiked to the top of the freaking steep hill. I couldn't even make it to the waterfall, I found the bench and collapsed! Once I could breathe again, I walked over to the waterfall and it was so worth it!
 |
| The log bridges were fun and slippery. |
 |
| Another kind stranger. |
We hiked back down and it was much faster. We saw a deer in the woods. I loved loved loved the lake. I was convincing Johnny to move here in all videos. I really loved it there. It was so nice to have one last quiet bout of the woods before we had to leave.

| Sigh!!!! |

| Fun fluffy clouds, it's less rainy here. |

We left the woods all peaceful again and headed to Port Angeles, just to get a picture of Bella Italia. Hmm...yeah right.

| Free zucchini to a good home :) |
We drifted in and out of stores and shops and coffee shops. We ended up spending a lot of time of there!
We left and stopped at a lavender farm, which nearly killed us.
 |
| It smelled really good, for about a minute, then it was overpowering. |
FINALLY we were on our way to Seattle. It took, over 7 hours to get there. It was supposed to take 3 hours. :)
We had to find a Target, because Brandy needed a suitcase because she had too much stuff to fit into her bags. It was so funny. We finally found it. Brandy wanted to visit her potential seminary at Mars Hill. She was getting upset that it would be closed since it was 5pm exactly. But it was still opened and let her tour it and I hope it made her happy. We then headed to Pike's Place Market, but it was closed, so we ate at a yummy place where we had Dungeness Crab Cakes!
 |
| I found my camera a little too late, there were three of them. |
We then headed to the airport, which was an adventure in itself. We just missed it a few times. We got a few more shots of the Space Needle and things.
We then prepared ourselves for our night flight. It was pretty bad. We were in the very last row next to the bathrooms. There were dozens of people banging into our row, plus the toilet flushing, the airline people were AWFUL, they were loud and annoying. That was the worst part of the trip. It was hard for me to know that our vacation was over. It was difficult when there wasn't a 'last' day of vacation. We got up had a whole day and flew through the night without going to bed. It messed me up for my first day home. Once I slept that night I was good. Johnny and I are going back for our 10 year anniversary AND I CANNOT WAIT!
