Mister Sun, Sun. Mister Golden Sun.
I wish spring would return. I love warmer days and the bright colors. I love spring cleaning. I love the smell of daffodils and mop and glow. We keep getting teasing days. I want windows open and birds singing.

Waiting on Cinderella
| This is the before. |
I finally got my daughter's room done. My daughter, oh I can't wait! We were so blessed to have not one, but two sets of bedroom furniture given to us! The first set is a daybed, a toy chest, and two end tables. The second set is a 4 poster bed, desk, hutch, dresser, end table, armoire with another hutch, and a mirror. The day bed, for now, is under the 4 poster bed. Johnny is using the desk, hutch, and end table in his office (it didn't fit in the room) I can't wait to have my own little princess in that room. I'm dying to get some bedding and a rug for the room, but I want her to be able to pick all that stuff out.

Thrift Store Treats
I love thrift stores. I love finding something unique. I love finding a great bargain. I don't usually thrift store shop for clothes, but lately I've had some good finds. I found myself two dresses and Johnny two pairs of great shorts for summer. I love finding little things for my home. I went through a major purge of junk at Christmas. So I've been very careful not to buy nick nacky stuff. But I'm really into colored glass, wood signs, and pottery type things right now. I've had some great luck and found some really cute things for my glass cabinets. Also the books, oh the books. I've made a deal with myself, in order to buy new books, I have to take in books to donate. I'm doing well that way and my books shelves thank me!

A Girls' Best Friend?
Diamonds are a girls' best friend, right? Nearly ten years ago, my husband to be placed a diamond ring on my hand. It did not however look like any of these diamonds. It was teeny tiny and in gold. At the time it didn't matter to me. I was so happy. A few months later when my pregnant belly made my hands to swollen to wear my diamond, I with much heartache, removed my engagement ring. I was able to keep my wedding band on for the rest of the pregnancy. During this time, I started to notice the gorgeous bling and the hands of my newly engaged friends. I started to get get jealous. My tiny ring was $100 from Walmart. My wedding band was $35 dollars. $135 total was on my finger. (or in the jewelry box). I would get annoyed when I would go grocery shopping, we would pay $150 or more. My grocery bill was more than my engagement ring. I stewed. I swore for our ten year anniversary I would get one of those shiny rings that blind people.

Well, the baby came and I finally lost enough weight to shove my engagement ring back onto my finger. Then came another baby and then another. (Thankfully, I didn't get as fat and was able to keep my rings on) Slowly, my ring didn't matter anymore. In fact, I started to fall in love with it. We were covered in spit up and diapers and bottles. We decided to homeschool, we moved into a bigger house. Our kids grew, our bills grew. Strangely, our grocery bill didn't (another subject for another time). I still glanced at beautiful rings. But I no longer cared. I loved my little stone and the symbol of the love my 18 year old boyfriend had for me all those years ago. I look at my tiny stone now and smile. I don't desire a big ring anymore. Well, here we are, nearly ten years later. I knew when this time finally got here, I'd be searching for the perfect ring. Instead when the subject comes up, I think of all the other uses for the money. New books, new furniture, a vacation or a day trip. No longer do I sigh at the beauty of others rings. The perfect ring, is right here, on my left hand. I love my tiny stone and the enormous love it represents!

Circle Circle Dot Dot...
Circle. Circle. Dot. Dot. Now, I've got my cootie shot. Circle. Circle. Square. Square. Now, I've got it everywhere. Circle. Circle. Knife. Knife. Now, I've got it all my life. There! Cooties be gone now!!! I will give the cootie shot to all my kids too. We have some yucky funky that's been going around. Not enough for a doctor visit, but enough to keep up couch bound for the last few days. Today is the first day since Friday night that I've felt human. I'm still coughing my head off and the kids are feverish with coughs. It's a toxic mess around here. But for some good news:1. We are being given ANOTHER bedroom set for a little girl. We're going to take down the crib. I have a feeling that as soon as I do that they'll call with a respite baby, but I'll take my chances. We'll have two bed set up. Maybe God is providing this for us because we're getting sisters!
2. Johnny got a well deserved raised!
3. We've had quite a few people donate to our adoption fund via our fundraiser! It's going well, 16 more days, get your tickets!!!4. The office is coming along nicely. It's going to be great to have all our junk in one place!
5. I felt well enough to clean a bit and mop and the house smells less like ick and more like a home!
6. Johnny left a Snickers bar on the counter!!!!!!
