Crafty or Mess Maker?

I came across this great idea at Craft Berry Bush. I've been collecting Mason jars for a variety of reason and I thought I would try this. I started with a large Mason jar and a small glass jar from a yard sale.

I then followed the instructions in the blog. I mixed 1T of glue, 1.5T of water and a few drops of food coloring.

I attempting to do as she said. I painted the jar in quick even strokes. Hmmm.

I like hers a lot more. It was worth a shot. I might try again with a different color.

Those are buttons in the bottom, they don't look right in that jar.
